I do a normal compile from ports (graphics/gtksee) and no errors or
warnings.
I even open a main window, but as soon as I click on a pic from the disk
GTKSee crashes with:

gtksee in free(): error: junk pointer, too high to make sense

Any Ideas how to fix this or if there is some similar software on FreeBSD.

Thanks

Probably time to notify the maintainer. Just that message probably isn't
enough to figure out, so you might want to check out the sections in the
various handbooks (/the/ handbook and maybe the porters handbook are a
good start) on how to submit usable error reports.

What do you mean with ``similar'' software? According to my copy of the
ports tree, it is an image viewer using gtk+. If you drop gtk+ as a
requirement, there are quite a few alternative image viewers available.
The ports tree does come with a search function, and alternatively you
could use the freebsd site or freshports to search.

No maintainer IMO Smile

I believe that gtksee (as much as I remember it when it worked), also
has image manipulation "plugins", such as rotating and resizing...

There are a bunch of options. gqview is nice and pretty lightweight also
when it comes to dependencies. Gthumb2, eog are other options. If you go
for features and not openness, go for XnView, AFAIR it sports support for
a huge number of formats as well as some asic editing, but it is closed
source freeware.
