After some years without problems, last week I had finally the possibility
to upgrade my wireless network from WEP to WPA.

I've followed the instuctions in the FreeBSD Handbook:

1) /etc/rc.conf
ifconfig_ath0="WPA DHCP"

2) /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
network={
ssid="alexarnz"
psk="XXXXXXXX"
}

I've rebooted the system and my Notebook (HP Compaq NC6000) immediately
connected to the network.
After half hour:

KERNEL PANIC

What? What was I doung? Firefox. Navigation in a website full of java. The
computer finshed the rebook, i return on the same website, smooth
navigation, no problem. After some hours KERNEL PANIC, another reboot.
WTF! I've upgraded to FreeBSD 7.0 a lot of time ago (two or three weeks),
but I never had problems. Never BIG problems, at least never a block or
similar.

After some hours KERNEL_PANIC ... some times I can work for 10 minutes,
sometimes for some hours. It's not dependant on what i'm doing in the
moment. Firefox, Knode, Kopete, simply terminal sessions, RPC on a
Windows2003 server... it's all the same.

Yesterday evening the light goes on! I switched off the wireless with the
button on the notebook, i've plugged the cable and now is 16 hours that
it's working without problems (before my record was almost 3 hours)

What happens? How can I resolve? Have I to turn back to WEP ?
