I just installed FreeBSD 5.4 and KDE, but instead of the cursor, I have a
white square. Have you experimented this before? How can I solve it?

Other than that, there is a bug in FreeBSD: It gives a kernel trap error
if I let my iomega Predator CD-RW Firewire connected. To load FreeBSD, I
need to unplug it.

I tried to configure X.org, following the online FreeBSD handbook, but
when I type:

Xorg -configure

I get a "Command not found" error. Is there a way to configure X.org
another way?

Thanks,

This is off topic, but are you the Justin Sane from A-F? Smile

If so,

respect.

I had the same problem after using pkg_add -r xorg. I found that if I
logged out and logged back in it will run. If that does not work for you
try rebooting.

Nah. Issuing a `rehash' is all you really need. This when using (t)csh,
which is the default interactive shell on FreeBSD. Logging out and in
again amounts to the same. Rebooting is a bit overkill for yet the
same action: tcsh rebuilding its internal hashtable of commands and
where they can be found. Alternatively, you can turn this feature off
completely (see tcsh(1) for details.)
