Post subject: php4, sablot.69 and FreeBSD 4.8 stable
Archived from groups: comp>unix>bsd>freebsd>misc (more info?)

Hi,

I'm trying to install mod_php4 from the ports collection on FreeBSD but I
allways get a message stating:

Error: shared library "sablot.69" does not exist

mod_php4 seems to be dependant on sablatron, so I've been into
ports/textproc/sablatron and installed that using "make install clean" and
that worked fine, so I went back to install php and I get this error:

===> Installing for Sablot-0.97
===> Sablot-0.97 is already installed - perhaps an older version?
If so, you may wish to ``make deinstall'' and install
this port again by ``make reinstall'' to upgrade it properly.
If you really wish to overwrite the old port of Sablot-0.97
without deleting it first, set the variable "FORCE_PKG_REGISTER"
in your environment or the "make install" command line.

So back I go and deinstall sablatron, ok. back to mod_php4 and I'm back
where I started:

Error: shared library "sablot.69" does not exist

I'm know that I'm not the first person to have this problem because I've
seen it describied on other newsgroups, but I havn't seen any solutions
posted.

Any ideas?

Garth.
